Gino Pignone

Special Counsel / Commercial Law and Insolvency

Over 35 years, Gino has practised in the areas of commercial and general litigation, insolvency (specialising in Bankruptcy), planning and environmental law and occupational health and safety.

Gino holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Law Degree from the Universities of New South Wales and Sydney, respectively.

Prior to joining McLachlan Thorpe Partners, Gino was a partner at Church & Grace after having been a partner of a medium sized Sydney firm and heading up his own firm also in Sydney. Gino acts for public and private companies and individuals in providing litigation and dispute resolution support.

Gino has practised extensively in general debt recovery and security enforcement and supervised recovery teams in acting for financiers as well as acting for major Banks.

Gino acted for the Liquidators of Trio Capital. The collapse of Trio Capital was the largest superannuation fraud in Australian history.

Gino’s focus is on providing innovative, timely and cost-effective legal service.
