Chao joined the Commercial and Property team in 2012 and was appointed as a partner in 2021. He became an Accredited Specialist in Business Law in 2017.
With a broad range of experience in drafting and advising on all types of commercial documents for trade and commerce, corporate governance, finance and security, trust, and intellectual property he provides commercial solutions for both corporate and individual clients from a variety of industries including agriculture, financial services, aged care, property development and manufacturing.
Chao also has experience in commercial transactions such as purchase and sale of business and property, lease, corporate restructure and finance. With a second degree in Accounting and Finance, he can quickly and accurately identify the legal issues as well as the client’s commercial interests.
Chao speaks fluent Mandarin, and has a close working relationship with several major law firms in the Greater China area.
