Catherine Cheng Transparent

Catherine graduated from the University of Sydney with a Juris Doctor degree in 2022 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a solicitor in October 2022. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Sichuan Normal University. Catherine joined McLachlan Thorpe Partners in September 2023 as a solicitor in the Commercial and Property team.

Catherine assists the partners in various of commercial and property transactions including disposal and acquisition of shares, business and property, finance and loan dealings. She also assists the partners in trust, corporate restructure, and intellectual property matters.

Catherine speaks fluent Mandarin and her educational background in both Chinese and Australian jurisdictions enables her to build a better understanding of overseas clients’ needs and provide efficient communication and tailored advice.
