Since her admission Emma has practiced exclusively in the area of Family Law. Prior to joining McLachlan Thorpe Partners Emma worked in the Family Law team of a Parramatta practice.
Emma appreciates the highly personal nature of Family Law matters and where possible assists her clients to resolve disputes and reach agreement without the intervention of the Courts. She is a skilled negotiator and ensures that her clients are informed about their matter at all times, and provides clear and simple guidance to assist them to reach a resolution.
Where the intervention of the Court is necessary, Emma is a strong legal advocate with thorough knowledge of the relevant legislation, rules and case law. She provides support to her clients through all stages of the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia legal processes.

- Airport Watch List Applications;
- Legal Aid matters;
- Agency Court attendances.
Emma graduated from Macquarie University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Media and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours. While undertaking her Law Degree Emma worked in the area of Veterans Law, focused on War Widow and War Veteran pension appeals in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Court of Australia.
Emma is appointed to Legal Aid NSW’s General Family Law Panel and is a Member of NSW Young Lawyers.
